A Second Look
Romantic Inspiration
Sometimes you have a stirring inside of you. This stirring can give you courage and a push to look past what you originally see. I feel like I have begun the first tilts of this specific stirring. Since I am a creative and enjoy bringing things to existence that weren’t there before or try to personify a moment I see and feel and stop it for eternity. Lately Ive been really focusing on where I want to go with this passionate for photography and creating. I feel Ive found parts of myself on this journey of while I take each step. Ive seen a different person emerge and a confidence to solidify. Something I have really taken an interest in and passion for in the realm of wedding photography is stylized shoots. I as the photographer start with an idea and bring together a team of other creatives/wedding vendors and we create a fake wedding, but we keep real couples with real love. It is stressful beyond belief to prepare one of these shoots, but once it comes together, it is such an amazing feeling seeing your tiny idea be enhanced and blown up into something tangible and beautiful. This is one of those shoots.
I initially went though and culled the images after I edited them to choose which ones I would use to try to get published in Green Wedding Shoes (my blog of choice for this shoot). You can see that publication here . Tonight I felt the pull of creativity on my mind. It was late, my daughter in bed. So I went back to one of my favorite shoots this year. I went back into the images that I rejected originally because either they weren’t in focus, pixels were too blown out, didn’t follow the composition rules, didn’t follow the story exactly for the blog, etc. But now I look back at them and they tell their own story. Still a story of beauty and love and romance, and that is something I love about it all. It reminded me a lot about life and sometimes we take moments in our lives and try to forget them because we don’t feel they tell the story right, or we cull out the things in our lives we don’t feel define us well. But taking a second look back with enough space in time, they can become a beautiful way to show how you came to be where you are. I am really glad I explored this new avenue of creation and enjoyed the process. I hope you enjoy as well. Dress: Nearly Newlywed

Truth! They are a bittersweet experience! Lol. Thanks LeeYen!
So lovely, the majority of these I was thinking, “How could she possibly have tossed that the first time around?” You’ve inspired me to do the same on a few of my previous shoots!
