About Me Page

Hi! I’m Rebecca. I am a hopeful romantic, happy wife to a husband who shows me the true nature of love, and a loving mom to a hyperactive but affectionate toddler. I love adventuring. I am probably the worst person to go on a road trip with. I will want to take detours and stop and take pictures every 5 minutes. A 4 hour trip turns into an 8 hour trip, but I think it’s starting to grow on my husband. I also love ice cream, spicy potato tacos, the last 5 minutes of a sunset, playing pirates with my daughter, and laugh attacks that are usually spurred on by my husband.

I have fallen in love with capturing the essence of a moment. I love that it is my job to create images that are authentic, artistic, and that capture the couples true nature. I fell in love with photography when I lived in China for 6 months in 2009. The people there were full of authenticity and each face filled with a different story to tell. Armed with only a simple point and shoot camera I found a passion for telling an entire story with one frame. I came home and have continued to learn and perfect the art. I am located in Orem, Utah but I am available and love to travel! My photography is named after my daughter Nhiya Kaye (said N-hi-yah).┬áHer name means light and purpose in Arabic, which is part of her heritage on her father’s side. My daughter has brought me more purpose and light into my life than I could ever have imagined. So I decided what better way to infuse my business with authenticity and purpose than to include those that inspire me the most in the name!

I would love to capture you and your loved ones to tell your unique story of love and life in a authentic, artistic, and timeless way. I would love to hear from you! Feel free to contact me at the contact tab at the top of the page or email me directly at nhiyakayephotography@gmail.com
